Swimmies Faves from Net-a-Porter Sale!

I love Summer. Why?
(first) because I live in Florida, which is just a few minutes away from the nearest beach.
(second) because I love going to beach! (Oh, I miss Bali!)
(third) because it's the perfect weather to chill by the pool and my apartment got the best pool ever.  There are 2 swimming pool with a breathtaking lake view, a mini beach + volleyball court and a BBQ Patio. Uh-yeah how's that?
(fourt) because of... SUMMER SALE!!! I can shop, lol.

Anyways! one of my favorite thing to do when I'm super bored at lecture is to browse through online stores. And yes, just like everybody else I think, Net-a-Porter is one of my faves. Well, since their products are mostly pricey... I just can't wait until they are having Sale, like now!! Lately, I have been looking different style of Bikinis (since, I am going to Miami in one month for Summer Break, yiha!). As I browse through Net-a-Porter's Sale Section, I saw cute swimmies! So here's my top 5 picks for Swimmies that I found from Net-a-Porter's Sale.

1. Herve Leger Cutout Bandage Bikini, shop here
I love Bandage skirt or dresses. and I just knew that they have Bandage Bikini!!! Awesome.

2. We Are Hansome The Anchorage Halter-neck Bikini, shop here
First, I like the prints because it gives you a 'Beach-y' atmosphere with the blue-white color for the top. Second, I just love halter-neck type of Bikini.

3. Mara Hoffman Printed Triangle Bikini, shop here
For those who know me well, they  know that I love electric colors like the prints on Hoffman's bikini! Style is standard but I (heart) the prints!

4. YSL Bow front Bandeu Swim suit, shop here
I love the front side of it with the bow and the red bow on the top that gives accent to the swim suit. Although it's one piece swim suit, it still have a really nice lookin' style.

5. Michael Kors Color Block Bikini
This is another standard triangle bikini style that I love because of the colors. Pink+Black, I think its a superb combination of colors!

So, which one do you like? Or check out their site at www.net-a-porter.com for more swimmies! and pick your fave!  :)

Hello:

So yes, it's Memorial Day Weekend! I finished my Economics class in the morning and hello long weekend. So I guess, for this week's iLove board, it is all about America. This week's, I found four favorite items with American Flag on it. My top pick out of the four items is the Lip Tattoo. It's actually an interesting thing that I found as I browse through Asos.com. It lasted for 8 hours and they have other pattern too aside from the flag.

Lady Gaga Jangan Gagal

Lah?

Well, itu susah loh!

Tapi kalo kita suka beats nya dan nyanyiin lagunya just to have fun… why not?

And as for that, menurut gue Konser Lady Gaga ini termasuk salah satu world-class source yang bagus banget!

Gimana menurut kamu?

Sebelas Dua Belas

Hi!

People.com is one of my daily reading dose. A while ago, I read an interesting article on people about Celebrity Lookalike. In Indonesia, we often called it "Sebelas Dua Belas" or "11 12" when we want to say something that is lookalike to one another. It's interesting because before I read it from people, I realized already that some of these celebrities show some resemblance to one another. Today, I want to share to you some of them. I just think this is such an interesting fact that you all might want to know. Haha. and I think it's totally a blog-worthy.

McQueen's Demanta Clutch. Rawr!

Lately, I have been browsing a lot of Alexander McQueen's collection. I really love their Knucklebox Clutch for sure. It's cute and unique especially with the ring to hold the clutch. It's also the type of clutch that is being worn by Agnes Monica to Shorty Award.
I just browse McQueen's collection again and besides their Knucklebox clutch, look at these Demanta Clutch! Isn't it so pretty? Oh and plus, I have this thing for Animal Prints. I just love animal prints especially Leopard<3. McQueen has the white tiger and ocelot prints for their Demanta Clutch.

Just a little something

There's something about May 14. It's Nanash' birthday!
I am the kind of person who is always extra-hype with birthdays. I love surprises.
I have known him for around two years. Each and every year ever since the first time we met, we celebrated his birthday in a weird weird ways. Well, so many ups and downs that we have been through for the two years long.. But, this year's we celebrated his birthday in another "different" way yet again. However, it's different in a sad and good way. Hmm.. Something about the distance :( and the status :).
Anyways! I don't want to brag for too long now. I decided to make a video for him with "In Your Arms" by Kina Grannis as the soundtrack. I always adore Kina and her music :)

Yeap and just a little warning: The video is kinda... cheesy though. Lol. Let me just said that first before you watch and laugh at me.

Happy Birthday, Nanash!

TraveLovin'

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. My parents took me to different places since I was little. They are not the 'adventurous' type who explore new places, though. But they just love to travel overseas. Since, I was still in my mother's womb, my parents took me to travel. My mom told me that time when she was still pregnant with me inside, and she got several months left (close enough to due date, but still able to go in), my parents went to Amsterdam. My first trip, however, was to Singapore! And Singapore is one of my fave place to go. There's always something 'different' every time I visit. You know, like the city decorations, especially on Orchard Road. They always have cool things going on. When I was young, of course, I traveled everywhere with my family and most of the time with my family relatives.

The most memorable trip was when I went to US tour in 2000 and 2001. We went for a road trip most of the time and it was fun. We went twice and we visited different places and churches. I still remember, we went to this small town and there's a big dinosaurs museum. It was interesting. The town is basically where many research about dinosaurs were made. Its really awesome to see the result of their research.
The trip that I gained most information from was China Trip in 2005. It was another fun experience. This time we went with a real tour. We visited a lot of historical places in Beijing and shop at the metropolitan Shanghai. We visited the great, GREAT WALL OF CHINA. Which... I found it real interesting! Then, we went by boat (I think it was somewhere near GuangZhou), it was a big boat something like a yacht... i don't know what it's called. anyways, we went on that through the beautiful river and there I saw the most breathtaking view ever. Just 100% about the nature's beauty.

Anyways, as I grew older, I started to travel with my friends or by myself and visited my friends. Before I moved to the States, I took a few trips in Indonesia to Bali, Yogyakarta and Medan (blogged about this before). Then, as now I am in the States, I occasionally take a break to travel and meet up with friends wherever they are.

Today, I was just browsing through the Internet. I found beautiful photos of places that I have never visited, but I want to sometimes later in my life.

Great Pyramid of Gyza and Sphinx, Egypt
Santorini, Greece
Venice, Italy

Yosemite Valley, California, USA
Taj Mahal, India
Raja Ampat, West Papua

One for Me, One For You

I have read a lot of people's tweet about this comfy TOMS shoes. They said it suit perfectly for college students who have to walk around campus here & there. I knew about this shoes for quiet a long time and I had actually put a consideration of purchasing one since a while ago. I tried it so many times every time I went to Nordstorm and I often checked their website. I love the glittery pink one but I just don't know where can I wear that. I'm just OK, however, with the normal TOMS (the original/ standard style ones). They also sell cute shoes for kids.. Mini TOMS that are very adorable. Few days ago, I went to Nordstrom at Florida Mall and (yet, again) I checked on the TOMS shoes again. I tried, and it fits perfectly on me. People said how you should buy a smaller size for TOMS because it's kinda different than the ordinary shoe size. My size is 7.5 (standard shoe size), but with TOMS, I wear a size 6.

So yes, I checked a pair of TOMS. I realized that they have 3 different new colors (with same style of course). And I just suddenly fall in love with it. Well, it's said that its the NORDSTORM Exclusive... Hmmm.. After I tried it out, my heart just suddenly told me to 'BUY-it- Jane!'. So finally, after so many times looking at it, I bought it too! Perfect fit and I just love the pattern and everything. I got the one with red-white patterns. There's this other one that I love (the white-silver one of the same style/edition), but they don't have my size.

As soon as I got home, I knew that I have to open the box right away! and so I did. Besides their comfy-ness (is that even a word?>!) and their cute and unique style, I should say that TOMS has the best shoe packaging so far, according to me. I love it so much when I open the box and I just realized suddenly that it was a right decision of buying one. I got the shoes pouch, where I can keep my TOMS. I got stickers and some other of their campaign informations.

One for me, One for you
The other thing that I love about TOMS is their campaign and design concept. Their campaign 'One for One' really something that I like about it. I believe that some people might have bought TOMS not because of the style or the shoes it self, but as a purpose of the campaign. And I love it too because as I purchase a pair of it, I'm not only 'getting' but also 'giving' at the same time. So that gives me happiness by itself. I found this brand, TOMS, inspiring. Their quality of shoes satisfied people who are in NEED of good and comfortable shoes. And their campaign helps people who are in NEEDS.

From this I learn that we can care and make a difference to the society who are in needs through anything, including fashion. So, what else to wait? Get yours now! www.toms.com

I left my Heart in San Francisco

1. The Melting Pot (www.meltingpot.com)

The Melting Pot is a Fondue Restaurant. I'm that type of person who live for dessert & sweet and I like chocolate fondue. I went to The Melting Pot that is located near my aunty's house. My friend, Carissa, came by on the first night I was staying in San Francisco and then we went together to The Melting Pot. Carissa is just the best with information about places to eat. She knows a lot of good restaurants. I tried the Yin Yang Fondue. It's a mix between milk chocolate and white chocolate. I also tried the one with marshmallow. They mixed the marshmallow with the chocolate fondue. Then, we also got the platter with Cheese cakes, brownies, rice crispy, strawberry, bananas and marshmallow. Oh and later I just knew that The Melting Pot is not only located in California, but they also have one around here in Orlando. Wew!

Yin  Yang Foundue
The Platter

I have been craving for good seafood for a long time. I miss the seafood restaurants in Indonesia! They really have good seafood with good price. Anyways, so I told Carissa & Melissa, that I was craving for one and I want to eat seafood. They brought me to Thanh Long. It is located on Judah St. We went there for dinner and we had Crab! They both said that I should try Thanh Long's Drunken crab. So we ordered 2 Drunken Crabs and Garlic noodle for the main course. We ordered Calamari for appetizer because we were starving to death that time. But yes, the drunken crab... it's so delicious! It's not that 'pricey' as well for a big crab that taste like THAT. Turns out that Thanh Long is a sister restaurant with Crustacean.  I've heard of that restaurant before but never tried it. From what I heard, Crustacean is another real good seafood with delicious crabs. The difference, however, is that Crustacean is more expensive than Thanh Long. But everyone said that their crab tastes the same, it's just there's a different with the restaurant service. Hmm. I should really try to eat at Crustacean and compare the two. Lol.
When I went back to my aunty's place, I told my uncle that I had dinner at Thanh Long at Judah St. He told me that my aunty really love the food there.

Drunken Crab

3. Purple Kow (http://www.purplekow.com/)

One rainy night in San Francisco, we stopped by a boba tea place (or/ Bubble Tea). It's called the Purple Kow. I was actually curious about how that boba tea taste because when I came there, it was really crowded. Melissa & Carrisa said that Purple Kow has a lot of customers most of the time. That time when I went there, it was really late at night. We went there after we had the Drunken Crab! and we just felt like we need a dessert, something sweet. So yeah, I ordered a normal boba tea. I thought it's going to be the same like any other boba teas that I had in my life, but it wasn't. It was a real good boba tea!! Love it! Carissa ordered a different drink. She ordered a combination of milk with honey jelly and I think it tastes even better than the standard boba tea! Seriously good!! The other thing that I love about this place is the store design. It's unique & it's purple. So much reminds me of my dear friend, Kartika, in Beijing, who loves purple so much. The drink size at Purple Kow is also different than any other ordinary boba tea places. Its has a wider diameter of cup size. Well, I think the cup size is unique and cute. You should try, or at least check their website. They have a lot others flavors and topping choices too. So, if you ever be near Balboa Street in San Francisco, you definitely should stop by!

4. JAYAKARTA (http://www.jayakartarestaurant.bravehost.com/)

I-don't-know how many miles I am away from my hometown, but I always miss Indo Food. Yes, although I occasionally have them here in Orlando, I still always miss it and love it. Melissa & Carissa told me that they both love the food at Jayakarta. It is an Indonesian restaurant! with Indonesian owner as well. It is located in Berkeley. So, when we finally decided that we were going to have lunch there, I remember of my friend, Claudia, who is currently studying at UC Berkeley. So I bbm-ed her and it turns out that she lives close by to the restaurant. We all had lunch there and it was good... aaaa so delicious and real Indonesian's food. I had Ketoprak and Mie Tek Tek. Carissa had the Nasi Padang, and I tried it too... It's good. I also brought some for my Aunty because I knew that she missed Indonesian's food as well.

5. Miette Patisserie (www.miette.com)

I have known this place for quiet a while because the last time I visited San Francisco, my Aunty brought me to this place. I went to the one that is located in Ferry Building. I always love Ferry Building! It has a lot of good restaurants, food, and speciality stores. Miette Patisserie is my aunty's favorites. She told me how on her birthday, her colleagues always bought her a cake from Miette. My aunty used to work close by to Ferry Building. Yes, I really love their cupcakes, especially their chocolate cupcakes. Melissa had the Hazelnut Macaroons and she said it taste real good too. One thing that I love about Miette is the store design. I love their simple + cute, pretty pink store concept. I know it's bias obviously because I'm a die hard pink lover. But yes! love it.

6. Ferry Building

I told you how I love the Ferry Building. Here's what I found there. They have speciality food stores. There's this store who sell bagels, it looks really good. I didn't give a try though. It's called the Mariposa.

This is the other store... well a unique store, I think, that I found in Ferry Building. It's the Mushroom store!! It's cuteeeee. They sell a lot of different types of mushrooms. So much reminds me of my Dad who is a mushroom consumer. Haha. I told my mom about this because one time, my mom made a soup with a lot different of mushrooms. And my dad loves it very much. I think they both should come here and maybe they can get different type of mushrooms and add it to 'Mom's Mushrooms soup'. Lol.
